The Journey
David Sousa was original hired in 2002 as a laser operator. This was a new area for the business and a relatively new technology to the industry. Dave took to the position, quickly learning how to program the machine and solve technical challenges. Dave was promoted to Laser Supervisor as the department and the company grew with its progressive reputation. In 2011, Dave was promoted to Engineering Manager where his education as a Certified engineering technologist was an asset. In 2018 Dave accepted the challenge of Master Scheduler, and was a calming influence in a fast pace environment. It Became evident that David’s experience with the company and understanding of our clients was needed more in our engineering department, and in 2020 David resumed his role as Engineering manager. In 2022 Baumeier promoted Dave to General manager as his experience with the company has seasoned him for the role. Baumeier is proud to promote from within for this position and looks forward to a future with David’s leadership
